About bak.

WHEN DID YOU START DIVING?
"In 2008. I remember my uncle telling me stories about his Open Water course when I was a kid. I wanted to be a diver after hearing about his adventures underwater."
WHEN DID YOU START TEACHING?
"I became an instructor in 2010 and started my tech pathway in 2014. The deep waters of the Pacific have always fascinated me. I like the challenge of teaching and technical diving. It requires me to practice every week."

FAVOURITE COURSE TO TEACH?
"TEC 50. Introducing students to a second decompression cylinder and a stage cylinder makes for a challenging course. "
FAVOURITE EQUIPMENT?
"The Santi BZ 400 heated thermals. It makes the three-hour training dives and the long deco stops bearable. You won't see me shivering on your courses."

YOU DISLIKE SEA LIONS?
"You're focused on your mission. You're focused on your team, your gasses, your decompression. Then, out of nowhere, two eyeballs the size of headlights are staring right into yours. Even sharks have better etiquette."
FAVOURITE WEST COAST DIVE?
"The HMCS Saskatchewan off the coast of Nanaimo. There's no better feeling than running line through the narrow passageways of vessels that have served Canada in the Pacific and across the globe.
