This open-circuit training pathway prepares divers to successfully plan and execute the most challenging dives on Vancouver Island and beyond. It is the starting point for deep and demanding commercial, scientific research, and exploration dives.

Core Skills
Sharpen your core skills, such as buoyancy, trim, propulsion, and situational awareness, during a Core Skills Workshop. Spend a weekend assessing your skills and building a plan toward better diving in the sheltered waters of Henderson Point.

Step beyond recreational depths. You will develop sharper team diving skills and learn how to manage more complex simulated emergencies. You will learn to plan decompression dives using Nitrox and either 50/50 or pure oxygen to depths of 147 feet (45 metres).

Extend your bottom-time, reduce the impacts of nitrogen narcosis, and increase your safety with trimix - a blend of oxygen, helium, and nitrogen. Appreciate the advantages and potential risks of diving on trimix.

Bridging the gap between recreational and full decompression
diving, this course explores team diving, how to manage simulated emergencies and failures, and how conduct technical dives on Nitrox and 50/50 to 130 feet (40 metres).
